Who Was Ethan

Ethan Michael Ramos was a seventeen-year-old triple threat — singer, dancer, and actor — from Southern California, with a baritone voice, a stage presence that filled rooms, and a heart that filled them even bigger. A Thespy Award winner and published BroadwayWorld student blogger, he was compassionate and soft-spoken, the kind of person who naturally brought others together. He didn’t just perform — he used his writing to advocate, believing that the arts may not be for everyone but should be accessible to everyone. The Live Like Ethan Arts Foundation exists to carry that work forward: getting funding, resources, and opportunities to the young theatre artists who need them most.

“The arts is a safe space for me to create and to be who I am.”

— Ethan Ramos, Arts Advocacy, Oct 2024

“I do theatre because it’s a way to share stories with the world and it helps inspire society on how we can improve.”

— Ethan Ramos, The Creative Process, Dec 2024

“When in doubt, advocate.”

— Ethan Ramos, Funding for the Arts, Dec 2024
